Protein kinase Bα (PKBα/Akt1) is implicated in the regulation of metabolism, transcription,
cell survival, angiogenesis, cell migration, growth, and tumorigenesis. Previously, it was
reported that PKBα-deficient mice are small with increased neonatal mortality (Cho, H.,
