Methods: This retrospective study was performed with 70 patients undergoing unilateral or
bilateral nephrectomy because of renal cell carcinoma, urothelial cell carcinoma, or renal
abscess. Immunohistochemical analysis of HIF-1α expression in non-tumourous or non-
