The authors comment on the detected deletion at 22q11. 22 locus in chronic lymphocytic
leukaemia (CLL) biology involving ZNF280A/ZNF280B/PRAME/GGTLC2 in B-cell
malignancies. They state that the use of a specific kappa or lambda immunoglobulin light
chain can affect CLL biology, and that its likelihood is due to the effect on the structure of the
B-cell receptor (BCR) and antigen-induced or cell-autonomous BCR signalling. Also noted
is the suggestion to ignore such deletions.
Abstract
The authors comment on the detected deletion at 22q11. 22 locus in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) biology involving ZNF280A/ZNF280B/PRAME/GGTLC2 in B-cell malignancies. They state that the use of a specific kappa or lambda immunoglobulin light chain can affect CLL biology, and that its likelihood is due to the effect on the structure of the B-cell receptor (BCR) and antigen-induced or cell-autonomous BCR signalling. Also noted is the suggestion to ignore such deletions.
