MATERIALS AND METHODS Three women with cystic fibrosis aged 32 (HM), 27 (VW), and
25 (M. 0.), known and treated by us for 31, 17, and 15 years, respectively, volunteered for
daily observations. The first two were married, one is now divorced (VW) and 1 patient (HM)
gave birth to a healthy boy 5 years prior to this study. A total of 68 examinations of cervical
