OBJECTIVE: This study was undertaken to determine whether laser thermocoagulation for
twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) causes increased cell-free fetal DNA levels in
maternal plasma, potentially as a result of placental injury. STUDY DESIGN: We enrolled 34
