Insulin release by pancreatic β-cells is regulated by diverse intracellular signals, including
changes in Ca 2+ concentration resulting from Ca 2+ entry through voltage-gated (Ca V)
channels. It has been reported that the Rab3 effector RIM1 acts as a functional link between
