Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is a severe clinical condition with activation of
coagulation and fibrinolysis. Its diagnosis is based on the International Society of
Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) scoring system of DIC. Animal models of DIC, used to
