BACKGROUND: Mosquito bites are known to sensitize persons, and the most common
cutaneous reactions are immediate wheals and delayed bite papules. Anti-saliva IgE and
IgG4 antibodies are common in mosquito-sensitive subjects, but mediator release in bite
